Product Notes

First, a sumptuous adaptation of Edith Wharton's classic novel, "Ethan Frome" stars Liam Neeson as the title character, a sad young man torn between his devotion to his sickly wife (Joan Allen) and his uncontrollable attraction to her beautiful cousin (Patricia Arquette), who's recently arrived to help care for her. With Tate Donovan, Katharine Houghton. Based upon Robert Louis Stevenson's Napoleonic era tale, the lavish adventure "St. Ives" follows a dashing French army officer (Jean-Marc Barr) who is sent to a Scottish prison camp. It's there that St. Ives is asked by the camp's commander (Richard E. Grant) for lessons in wooing the woman he loves... unaware that both men are interested in the same woman, the lovely Flora (Anna Friel). With Miranda Richardson, Michael Gough. And Renée Zellweger is a young woman chafing from the constraints of an arranged marriage in Brooklyn's Hasidic Jewish community─and whose quest for more freedom leads her to take a job in her brother-in-law's jewelry stores and into an affair with him─in "A Price Above Rubies." Christopher Eccleston, Julianna Margulies, and Glenn Fitzgerald co-star. 5 hrs. Total.
