MOVIE DESCRIPTION:

As hosted by public television stalwart Rudy Maxa, this set from the Best of Europe travel-themed documentary series tours the United Kingdom, with a series of four individual programs, each one highlighting a different locale in the UK. Program One begins in London, the City of Big Ben, with stops including Buckingham Palace, the Tate Modern Art Museum and the London Eye observation wheel. Program Two hearkens out to Bath and South Wales, with glimpses of millennia-old Roman spas, the splendid Welsh countryside of the Wye River Valley, and much more. Program Three travels to Edinburgh, Scotland, where Maxa & co. take an eerie "ghost tour," explore the ramparts of a centuries-old castle, visit the St. Andrew's golf course, and take a cruise on Loch Lomond. Finally, program four, Dublin and Beyond, wraps up the UK tour with an Irish tribe that begins in the city of James Joyce (with trips to the Guinness Brewery and Kilmainham Jail), then treks up to Glendalough folk park in Northern Ireland. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
