The Girl from Sin/Henry's Night In

MOVIE DESCRIPTION:

Something Weird Video have unearthed two more vintage sexploitation titles -- this time with the shared plot twist of invisibility -- on this DVD release. Both The Girl From S.I.N. and Henry's Night In have been transferred to disc in their original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The Girl From S.I.N. has been transferred from stronger source materials, and looks good despite some occasional scratches, while the opening sequences to Henry's Night In look a bit ragged and splice-ridden, though it improves considerably as it goes along. The audio for both films has been mastered in Dolby Digital Mono, and is good for the period, though not outstanding. The dialogue for both movies is in English, with no multiple language options or subtitles included. Something Weird has loaded this disc with plenty of bonus goodies, including a trailer for The Girl From S.I.N., a 1952 promotional film from Chevrolet in which two salesmen make their pitch to an invisible customer, and The Naughty Shutter, a Texas-shot nudie-cutie from 1963 in which a reporter and a spy are both looking for a special camera that removes the clothes from the people it photographs. At 55 minutes, The Naughty Shutter practically turns this disc into a triple feature, though the print is riddled with splices and is of significantly lower quality that the two headlining pictures. Still, it's good fun, and this is another solid value-for-money release from Something Weird. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
